Democracy's Edge Radio Talks to Dr. Makhijani about Nuclear Energy Dr. Arjun Makhijani joins the hosts of Democracy's Edge.
Dr. Makhijani got his Ph.D. at Berkley and now works in Takoma Park, Maryland at the Institute for Energy and Environmental Reseaarch of which he is president.

A recognized authority on energy issues and nuclear issues in particular, Dr. Makhijani is the author and co-author of numerous reports and books on topics such as nuclear defense systems, radioactive waste storage and disposal, nuclear testing, disposition of fissile materials, energy efficiency, and ozone depletion.  He is the principal editor of Nuclear Wastelands: a Global Guide to Nuclear Weapons Production and Its Health and Environmental Effects, published by MIT Press in July 1995, and subsequently nominated for a Pulitzer Prize.

The banksters succeeded in bringing misery to the whole world without using any nukes.  But just in case the crony capitalists and globalists don’t do us  in completely,  maybe we ought to pay a little more attention to the real thing; nuclear weapons, nuclear waste, and nukes in space.  After all look what happened when we weren’t watching the bond traders and bucket shop bozos?  Should we worry or Should we stop worrying and learn to once more love the bomb? And since we’re broke, what is this costing us?

Hosts Diane Kamp and Dave Zollinger cough up fur balls of truth each week from the baloney digested throughuot the week from the Fat Cat News.

Stephen Zarlenga Explains Money on Democracy's Edge Talk Radio Stephen Zarlenga of the American Monetary Institute at monetary .org is the author of "The Lost Science of Money".  Stephen and his colleagues are dedicated to de-mystifying money because  “If it had to be summarized in one sentence it is that by misdefining the nature of money, special interests have often been able to control a society’s monetary system, and in turn, the society itself.”

The Teamster and the Rancher, Dave and Di, ask Zarlenga about the details of the "American Monetary Act" that they have proposed.   Should we incorporate the Federal Reserve into the Treasury?  And they ask him to explain the difference between banking and money. And should there be such thing as a moral economy or moral and just money?

The Feral Cats of Freedom on Democracy's Edge Talk Radio are searching for new ideas to either fix or replace or political and economic system.  What do you think of Zarlenga's ideas?

Democracy's Edge Radio Talks to Sam Pizzigati about Greed Join the Feral Cats in resisting the malarkey fed to us by the Fat Cat News, the Corupulent Corporate Press and the Bloviators of Blather.
Sam Pizzigati is an Associate Fellow of the Institute for Policy Studies. Sam’s  1992 book on the history of political struggles around tax justice, The Maximum Wage, explored alternative approaches to fighting inequality. His book, Greed and Good: Understanding and Overcoming the Inequality That Limits Our Lives (Apex Press 2004), exposes how the massive economic inequality that has developed over the last generation has undermined nearly every aspect of our lives. Democracy's Edge Radio Talks to Stephen Zarlenga about the Lost Science of Money The Feral Cats of Freedom interview Stephen Zarlenga of the American Monetary Institute.  Stephen Zarlenga draws on 35 years of experience in the world of finance, securities, insurance, mutual funds, real estate, and futures trading. He has published 20 books on money, banking, politics and philosophy.

Stephen and his colleagues are dedicated to de-mystifying money because
“If it had to be summarized in one sentence it is that by mis-defining the nature of money, special interests have often been able to control a society’s monetary system, and in turn, the society itself.”

So money started out being a way to exchange goods.  And problems arose when people just wanted to make money from money?  Is that one of the problems?  Usury?  Interest?  Making money from derivatives or paper and not making money from investing in a cure for cancer?

Should there be such thing as a moral economy or moral and just money?
Should we start by putting the Fed to bed?
